Tim and Linda Toler were both born
and raised in Baton Rouge, LA. Tim has taught band in both in
high school and junior high as well as private lessons for 30
years. He attended college in Monroe, LA at Northeast
Louisiana State College, now known as University of
Louisiana-Monroe, having also received his Masters Degree at
Nichols State Univ. in Thibodaux, LA. Tim is also a Lieutenant
Colonel and veteran of the Viet Nam War and Gulf
War.
Linda studied engineering at LSU and has worked in Industrial
Applications and sales, and has owned clock repair business.
Upon Tim and Linda's marriage in 1994, the business name was
change to Music Time in order to incorporate musical
instruments into the business (repairs, sales and rentals).
Tim retired from teaching band at Denham Springs Jr. High school in
Denham Springs, LA, a suburb of Baton Rouge, in May of 2005
after 21 years of service, with his bands consistently earning their
way to competition on the state level, and bringing home
honors at Beginners, Intermediate, and Advanced level. He also
serves as director of the Livingston Parish Community Band.
Tim and Linda are both very involved with school and community
musical activities. They are avid Louisiana State
University Tiger fans, including football, baseball,
softball, basketball, ladies basketball, and gymnastics, as
well as supporters of LSU music programs. In addition to
almost ANY sporting event, they also LOVE to dance and travel
around the country. |
